Wellington Wing Foiling Locations, Paraparaumu Beach

Park in the Marine Parade Car Park for Beach Access.  These are located between Ocean and Toru Road.  

Works well in Northerly, Southerly and SouthWest Winds

It can get very choppy if wind has been up for a few days, especially with onshore winds like NW.

There are a few sandbars so walk out approx 25-50m to avoid these.

The Coast Beach is a wide open beach, making it excellent for learning.  

Watch the tide as the current can be strong. Outgoing tide travels South, so if there is only a marginal North Wind the outgoing tide will take 2-3 kts out of the wind.  This makes it harder to get going and also harder to stay upwind.
