Wellington Wing Foiling Location Guide, Evan's Bay (the Ditch) Shark Bay
Works in a NW to N wind, generally the more N the cleaner the wind. The venturi effect funnels wind down the ditch and usually means it picks up a few kts more wind than anywhere else.
The best place to guarantee a session if it’s too light in other spots. Works in all tides, but rigging space gets tighter the higher the tide and is hard on gear as it’s a pebble beach.
This is a good spot for learners, just don’t go out too far until you can confidently go upwind. Can pick up harbour chop if it's windy.
